Short, because there is not much of it. This site sets no cookies and there is no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

What the enquiry form collects
Your name, your email address, your organisation if you give it, and whatever you write in the message. Nothing else — there is no tracking pixel on the form and no profile built from it.
Where it goes
The form posts to a function running on Cloudflare, which passes it to Resend, an email delivery service, which delivers it to my inbox. Cloudflare and Resend are processors acting on my instructions. Both operate outside the UK, so the transfer relies on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum in their standard terms.
The lawful basis
Legitimate interests — you have asked me to get in touch about work, and replying to you is the obvious use of what you sent. If we go on to work together, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after twelve months. Where we do work together, the correspondence is kept for six years after the engagement ends, because that is how long the underlying business records have to be kept.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. One thing is stored on your device, and only if you ask for it: if you switch the sound on on the showcase page, the word “on” is saved so the page remembers next time. It is written only when you press that button, it is never read by anything else, and it never leaves your browser.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is measured without cookies and without any identifier that follows you between sites, and it records the page, the referrer, the country and the type of device. It does not build a profile and it is not shared with anyone. It works by loading a small script from Cloudflare, which is a request to a server outside this site — that is the one third-party request the site makes, and it is to the company already hosting it.
Third parties
The typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so the page itself does not tell anyone else that you loaded it. The short film on the showcase page works the same way: it is served from this site’s own media address, media.bowerswebdesign.co.uk, on the same hosting account, with no embedded player and no cookie. There are no maps, no YouTube or Vimeo embeds, no social widgets and no tag manager. The one exception is the analytics beacon described above, which is served by Cloudflare — the same company that already serves this site.
Server logs
Cloudflare keeps short-lived request logs — IP address, timestamp, URL — for security and abuse prevention. I do not have access to them beyond aggregate figures and I do not use them for anything else.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email hello@bowerswebdesign.co.uk and I will deal with it inside one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
